DAY 01 – PARIS – YANGON

Welcome by our experienced guide and transfer to hotel for leisure.

Green city marked out lakes with the carefully landscaped banks, Yangon is full of vigor and vibrancy. Visit Chaukhtatgyi pagoda and of its great Buddha laying whose colossal stature is fortunately softened by the good-naturalness of its expression! Lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch, an extended visit to the Shwedagon pagoda, one of the world’s most spectacular religious monuments, will conclude the tour of this pictures garden city. The golden dome of the Shwedagon Pagoda rises 98 meters.

DAY 02 – YANGON – KYAIKHTIYO

Breakfast.

Depart to Kyaikhtiyo, one of Myanmar’s landmarks, famous for its precarious position and religious importance. Lunch at Sein Lein local restaurant.

Myanmar believes that this rock in overhang is held in balance thanks to the hair of the Buddha in the pagoda built at its top.

DAY 03 – Kyaithtiyo – Bago – Yangon

Breakfast.

Pick-up at your hotel Excursion of the day in the old capital of Pegu (Bego) (84km-1 ½ hours). It was founded in 573-AD by two Mon princes of THATON.

Visit Bago city tour, Shwethalyaung the reclining Buddha image believes to have been built in 994 AD. Lunch at local restaurant.

Visit over a thousand years old Shwemawdaw Pagoda with its spire taller than the Shwedagon Pagoda. Visit Kyaik Pun Pagoda to observe 4 gigantic seated Buddha images.

Back to Yangon in the late afternoon.

DAY 04 – YANGON – BAGAN

Breakfast.

Transfer to Yangon airport for domestic flight to Bagan. Day devoted to discover of Bagan “the mystic” extraordinary archeological site which the apogee of the Buddhist architecture of Myanmar.

Starting a sightseeing tour with a diverse selection of the most important pagodas and temples such as Shwezigon Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century, and discover temples Shwegugyi, Gawdawpalin and colored market located at Old Bagan. Lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch visit Ananda Temple, with its four huge standing-Buddha images and numerous seated figures that are arranged around the interior gallery and Gu Byauk Gyi Temple (under the protection of UNESCO), noted for its ancient mural paintings. Observe a sunset in the vicinity of Bagan’s ancient monuments.

DAY 05 – BAGAN

Breakfast.

Continuation of the visits of Bagan with the discovery of the ruins of the Royal Palace; door of Tharaba, temple of Tayok Pye. Visit of a lacquer craftsmen’s workshop in nearby Myinkaba village. After lunch at local restaurant, continuation of the Bagan visits.

Dinner at restaurant. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 06 – MANDALAY- Mount Popa – Bagan

Breakfast.

Departure by the road for the Mount Popa, a 45 km drive (1 ½ hour) will take you Mount Popa. An extinct volcano with spectacular views. Its shrine is dedicated to animist spirits knows as “Nats” and you will have time to climb nearly 800 steps to the shrine at the top of the peak.

Lunch at Popa Mountain Resort Hotel. It is at its top that is the TaungKalat Pagoda that one reaches after having climbed nearly 800 steps, under the glance curious about the monkeys. Return to Bagan.

Dinner at local restaurant with the traditional dance. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 07 – BAGAN – MANDALAY – SAGAING – AVA – MANDALAY

Breakfast.

Transfer to Nyaung Oo airport for domestic flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival proceed to Sagaing, a retreat for Buddhist devotees, to enjoy a magnificent view over the surrounding area.

Then stop at xSoon U Ponnya Shin Pagoda to see the panoramic view of the country side. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, continue visit to the former royal capital of Ava, reached by a short boat trip. Visit by horse-drawn carriage to Nanmyint Watch Tower, the remains of the palace building nicknamed “leaning tower of Ava”, visit Bagaya Monastery, famous for its impression ornate woodcarvings and teak posts. Return to Mandalay.

DAY 08 – MANDALAY – AMARAPURA – MANDALAY

Breakfast.

Departure for Amarapura and walk on the picturesque U Bein bridge, entirely built out of teak wood. Discover of the unique monastic Maha Gandayon. Return to Mandalay. Visit the Mahamuni Pagoda. Visit large Zegyo market and workshops of tapestry and weaving.

Lunch at local restaurant. During the festival of the pagoda at the beginning of February of the thousands of faithful come from the neighbouring districts to cover the Buddha with gold leaves. After the visit, walk in the district of the marble sculptors.

Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 09 – MANDALAY – MINGUN – MANDALAY

Breakfast.

An excursion by boat on the Ayeyarwaddy River will take you to Mingun (45min approximately). Visit one of the world largest Mingun bell, weighing 90 tons, Hsinbyume Paya and the unfinished Mingun Paya, built as one of the largest zedis by King Bodawpaya. Return by boat to Mandalay. Lunch on boat. At the afternoon, visit the Shwenandaw monastery (or Golden Palace monastery) a superb example of a tradition work, and Kuthodaw Pagoda.

The world’s largest book, consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures. Proceed to Mandalay Hill for sunset viewing.

Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 10 – MANDALAY — KYAING TONG

Breakfast.

Transfer to airport for domestic flight to Kyaing Tong. Upon arrival in Kyaing Tong transfer to hotel. Lunch at local restaurant. Then visit to U Mulein Da’s Shan Lacquerware Works, typical Shan village and Shan house – Wan Pauk Wa village, where one manufacture handmade item.

Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 11 – KYAING TONG

Breakfast.

Visit Yan Law “Khun” people village and Palaung village, where one manufactures specific red clothing to this ethnic group. Further at the village Wan Kwan, one still manufactures the rice wine (sakey) with the old processes. After a few minute of walk arrive at Pine Tauk, Lahu and Ann that very rare ethic group Picnic lunch. End of the afternoon, return to Kyaing Tong. Visit magnificent Naung Tong Lake.

DAY 12 – KYAING TONG

Breakfast.

Proceed by road to the Hokyin and hiking to villages of Akhas. Lunch at local restaurant. Observing traditional Yan-gone Pottery Work and former times’ Italian Church.

DAY 13 – KYAING TONG –- HEHO

Breakfast.

Morning visit to bazaar of Kyaing Tong, where you will meet various ethnic groups. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch transfer to airport to take a flight for Heho. Drive by road to Nyaung Shwe, at the edge of Inle lake. Visit Shwe Yan Pyay monastery.

DAY 14 – INLE LAKE – INDEIN

Breakfast.

Visit Inn Dein by boat. Walk in the village and visits with the old pagodas which was lost in 12th century.

Inn Dein, located on south-western bank of the lake, the village In Dein is regarded as the almost picturesque part of the lake Inle. The brook that leads to the village beautiful in any season is animated with the various activities on the banks. In-Dein is used as main gate for the west of the lake and close villages Pa O located on the hills where some hiking trails accessible in boat that enable us to reach the impressive ruins of stupas (on the whole 1094 with the last inventory), to strong density or sometimes in the lines set up on the surmounted hillock of a temple, that sheltered with the image of the Buddha believed being given by famous king Asoka of India in 2nd front century And you have need to inevitably increase along a kilometer or more grave of memories that you are enthusiastic or not.

DAY 15 – INLE LAKE –- HEHO –- YANGON

Breakfast.

Transfer by the road for Heho airport (1h) and for flight back to Yangon. Continuation of the visits Sule Pagoda, dating back over 2,000 years ago and the Botataung Pagoda. Then, walk through China Town that houses along the facades are decrepit colonial buildings, an abundance of small shops, street vendors and Canteens Street. Lunch at restaurant during the visit. A stop at Bogyoke (Scott) Market gives you the opportunity to see Myanmar’s wide range of handicrafts.

Dinner at local restaurant in downtown. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 16 – YANGON – BANGKOK OR OTHER DESTINATION

Breakfast.

Leisure time until the transfer to the airport. Lunch free.

Transfer to the international airport, assistance with the formalities of recording and take-off bound for Paris or other destination.
